The first week of December Marysville 8th graders will be touring Marysville High School and Marysville Early College High School. Both high schools are Two Great Choices. December 3rd there will be in-person parent sessions at MHS and ECHS. Session 1 is 5:30-6:15PM. Session 2 is 6:45-7:30PM. 8th grade declaration opens up December 15th and closes January 9th.

The application window is open for the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. Students interested in attending the career center beginning fall 2026 should apply now. The center has two-year programs for rising juniors and one-year programs for rising seniors. (Please note one-year programs are available only if seats are open.) For programs that receive more applicants than there are seats a lottery system is used to place students. Successful sophomore applicants should be on track to complete two courses in the four core academic areas. Students should apply before the priority application window closes January 12th for the best chance at placement. The general application window closes February 16th. The extended application window will be open until August 26th.   

Advanced Options Night will be Wednesday, January 21st 6-8pm in the MHS Auditorium. This event provides valuable information to families about College Credit Plus (CCP), Internship Opportunities, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Representatives from OSU Marion, Columbus State, and Clark State will be in attendance. This meeting is designed for any family with a student in grades 6-11.
